Did you happen to notice that the floating strawberry bears a very strong resemblance to the conventional images painted throughout history (most notably in Roman Catholic paintings / artwork) of the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" and / or the "Immaculate Heart of Mary"?
Even the radiance surrounding the strawberry lends itself to the typical countenance that the "Hearts" are depicted as being endowed with.
OK ... I can see the similarity to Gustave Moreau's painting, "The Apparition", which depicts the vision of guilt which Salome apparently experienced with regard to requesting the beheading of St. John the Baptist after she had danced before King Herod.
If there was a contest specifically for epic realistic-looking cats who are fascinated by glowing, delicious looking strawberries, this would win, no doubt if there was any competition. I'm sure it'll do well regardless. This is a interesting piece considering you don't see topics including those items much. Seems like you'd have to put some extra thought into it. Well drawn. A real arist can use a variety or at least one supply, but does not require super fancy supplies or computer corrections all the time to create a masterpiece. Much like this one.
