Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Dear friends, I know that I said "I'm back" about one month ago,
but things weren't getting better actually, so I had to take a longer hiatus from drawing. But now I'm working on a new video, so that I can tell you that I'm back on track for real. Hi the drawing hands, it's good to see you back and better, it has been some time since I said on the realization of new drawings, but in these last months I been busy with other things besides that I started my college classes, but I started a few weeks ago with some kinds of art classes that I will well and I started making works with better techniques, when I do some I'm going to show you to tell me your opinion about the pictures and to continue to improve, I'm glad you are better and I hope to see more of your works that are spectacular.
